Early Childhood Educator and or Infant Toddler Educator Job Summary

ʔiiḥmisuk t̓aatn̓aʔis Aboriginal Head Start Program is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator and or Infant Toddler Educator will work closely with parents & other ECE’s to promote a welcoming, supportive, safe environment for parents/caregivers & their children. The Educator will develop, implement & supervise activities in a culturally supportive environment to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and developmental needs of the children within the program while establishing routines for children: providing them with positive guidance and nurturing.

What you offer:

  • Active/Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate, and or Infant/Toddler/Special Needs Diploma
  • 1 years or more recent experience as a certified Infant Toddler Educator is considered and asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and initiative
  • Knowledge of Indigenous history and culture are considered an asset
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of age appropriate program planning and activities
  • A desire to learn within a culturally focused program
  • A solid understanding and adherence to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act Child Care Licensing Regulations

Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: Up to $29 per hour plus benefits – Depending on Experience & Credentials
