Wałyaqił Tiny Home Village

Wałyaqił offers our most vulnerable community members a safe, secure home with 24-hour support staff, laundry facility, and showers and toilets. Each of our 28 tiny homes contain a single bed, desk, chair, mini fridge, air conditioning and heat allowing our residents a private space with a locking door for peace of mind. We also provide social connection opportunities by offering weekly programs and activities geared to enhance our residents’ well-being and build on their life skills.

In addition to 2 support staff always being on site, we also provide our residents with access to cultural support and an on-site Mental Health Counsellor that visits the village daily and as requested. In addition to providing in house supports, we acknowledge our respected community partners and welcome them into our village daily to offer their support to our mutual clients. Some of these community partners are Island Health teams (ACT, IORT, Community Care Nurses, HOP team, MHSU), Ministry Outreach Worker, Daphne Hollins, and CAT Team Peer Workers.  With close partnerships and amazing support staff, Wałyaqił has grown into a warm, welcoming community that has captured a lot of interest in the community with many unhoused and housed community members desiring to live with us.
